My passion for photography started with two boxes of Kodak film, a hot pink 110 camera, and a trip to Washington, DC. I was 10 years old and on my first overnight school field trip. Because I only had two boxes of film, instead of wasting film taking silly photos of and with my friends, I remember being so excited about shooting the National Cathedral, Mount Vernon and all of the monuments. I got the bug early.
What else? I am a mommy to two beautifully fun girls, doggy-mommy to the cutest dachshund around, and married to my best friend. Ways to my heart? Kindness, basketball, Steve Martin and tacos! I love live music - any genre. And probably the most telling about me, I am a master of finding continuity mistakes in TV and movies.
Every shoot combines my love for bright colors, good light and moments of joy, plus lots of laughs to put you at ease. Sound good to you? I'm always looking for willing participants, especially those in Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati and my favorite places in the Northeast -my home away from home- Boston, New York and New Haven.
High school seniors, mom-to-be and newborns, headshots, sports team photos, wedding and engagements, corporate events. Since 2005, this has been my full-time every day. Stick around. I hope you love what you see.
Photography has been my passion since I was a small child fascinated by my dad's Pentax K1000 film camera. The camera is different today, but photography is still my hobby in addition to being my job.
A full-time photographer for over 14 years now, I'm best shooting in the sun, in the shade, on the beach, in a dark alley, in the snow and just about any other challenging lighting scenario. I love good light, whether it is natural light or artificial, and I will find it for you.
I believe in simple, clean images captured beautifully in-camera and enhanced only a bit in post-production.
